FAQ
What people usually askbefore hiring us.
Who actually built the projects shown on this website?
I designed and built them myself, Mariano Mayans. Most of them as an employee of the Consell Insular de Formentera, with an authorisation to hold a secondary activity (compatibility authorisation), and they are owned by the Consell. Trucadors is the company through which I offer that same work to other administrations.
Who owns the code you develop?
The administration that commissions it. We hand over the complete source code, the documentation and the access credentials. No recurring licences and no dependence on us to keep operating.
Where is the data hosted?
In the European Union, usually on Google Cloud in regions in Spain or Belgium, with encryption at rest and in transit, point-in-time recovery backups and access logging.
Can we hire you under a minor contract?
Yes. We quote in phases with clear amounts, and each phase can be adjusted to minor-contract thresholds or form part of a tender.
What happens if we stop working with you?
The platform keeps running. Because the code, the infrastructure and the documentation are yours, any other provider can carry on.
Do you comply with Spain's National Security Framework (ENS)?
We design in line with the ENS and apply its technical measures from the start. We do not yet hold the formal certification; if a tender specification requires it, we say so clearly.
Do you use artificial intelligence in development?
Yes, as a tool. It lets us deliver faster and with more tests, but all the code that reaches production is reviewed, tested and documented by a person.
In which languages can you deliver a platform?
In whichever you need. formentera.es runs in ten languages, this website in eight, and we add any co-official or European language with its own routes, SEO and content.
Do you offer maintenance?
Yes, with a simple monthly or hourly agreement, defined response times and a named person who answers.
